By installing or using Pocketfold (the “App”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Pocketfold is

Pocketfold is a personal travel planner. It stores your trips on your device and helps you keep flights, accommodation, activities, entry requirements, checklists, expenses and reminders in one timeline. It is a planning aid, not a booking service, travel agent or official source of visa information.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to the rules of the store you got it from (Google Play or the Apple App Store). You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App, or use it to build a competing service, except where law permits.

3. Free tier and Pocketfold PRO

The App is free to use for planning. Document scanning (automatic recognition of tickets, bookings and similar documents) is a metered feature:

PlanProductScans includedRenewal
Free1 scan in total
PRO Monthlypro_monthly30 scans per calendar monthRenews monthly
PRO Yearlypro_yearly360 scans per year, counted from the purchase dateRenews yearly
Scan packscan_pack_30+30 scans added to the current periodOne-time purchase, does not renew

Unused scans do not carry over. Scans from a pack expire together with the period they were added to (the month for Monthly, the year for Yearly). A pack can only be bought while a PRO subscription is active. Prices are shown in the store before purchase and may vary by country. We may change the number of scans included in a plan for future periods with notice in the App; the current period is not affected.

Free-tier limits and server capacity are also protected by daily caps per network address. Reaching a cap is not a malfunction; scanning resumes the next day.

4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

5. Document recognition — accuracy disclaimer

Recognition is performed by a machine-learning service (Google Gemini) and is probabilistic. It can misread digits, dates, times, airport codes, names and currencies, or fill in the wrong field. Recognised values are suggestions to be checked, not facts. Always compare what the App shows with the original ticket or booking before relying on it. We are not responsible for missed flights, wrong check-in dates or other consequences of unverified recognised data.

Only scan documents you are entitled to scan. Do not use the feature for bulk processing or for documents unrelated to your travel.

6. Visa, ETA and entry information

Country notes, visa and electronic-travel-authorisation (ETA) reminders in the App are a convenience based on general reference data and on what you enter. Entry rules change frequently and depend on your nationality, residence and trip purpose. The App is not an official source. Always confirm requirements with the destination country’s official authorities or your carrier before travelling. We accept no liability for denied boarding or entry.

7. Your data

Your trip content is stored on your device and is your responsibility to back up (Settings → Export). We do not hold a copy and cannot restore it for you. How data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: interfere with or overload the recognition or rate servers; circumvent scan limits or payment; use automated tools against the App’s servers; or use the App for anything unlawful. We may suspend service to identifiers or network addresses that abuse it.

9. Availability and changes

The planning features work offline. Scanning, exchange rates and purchases need an internet connection and depend on third-party services (Google Cloud, Google Gemini, RevenueCat, the stores); we do not guarantee their availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, or the App itself, with reasonable notice where practicable. If we discontinue scanning permanently, active subscriptions will not be renewed.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, missed travel, fines or costs arising from use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may terminate the licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections 5, 6, 10 and 11 survive termination.

13. Consumer rights and Apple users

Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live apply to these terms and are not limited by them.

For Apple users: these terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as required by Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always at this address with its effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept it; for material changes affecting subscriptions we will notify you in the App before they take effect.
